9.00/10 score rank #10 of 22VOCALS 10PRODUCTION 8CHALLENGE 9Hell yes. I love DJ Screw getting his flowers. My favorite genre might be Electro Dub, so Chopped and Screwed is close to my heart because it is Electro Dub's first cousin once removed. I love songs that function as a work of anthropology. Respect. I love that the beat is a tour of different Chopped and Screwed vibes. The vocals sound great. Don't listen to anyone else who says otherwise lol. This song is such a love letter to a great piece of hip-hop history and present legacy. I would love to hear more use of multiple musical samples woven together. I know you had a lot of work to do on this with the odyssey of unique beats, but I'm gonna be picky because you are clearly capable to remarkable production.

6.67/10 score rank #13 of 22VOCALS 5PRODUCTION 7CHALLENGE 8I can appreciate the effort in recreating / paying homage to chopped & screwed, and the song having distinct sections with different slow-ass BPMs. The song is too long in my opinion but understand that's an homage thing. As usual this is a really polished, radio-ready song, probably THE most radio ready in terms of engineering. But the lyrical content doesn't captivate me and the overall saminess of the braggadocio and gangsta bars makes the track feel more sluggish than even the music does. Ish1da: I know this is going to be hard with the wrestling intro theme, but I want you to try to do something completely out of left field that isn't just flexing, being a G and barring out. I know you have it in you to be creative. Scotty: Really great job making each chopped and screwed section sound distinct yet still cohesive.

6.67/10 score rank #20 of 22VOCALS 7PRODUCTION 6CHALLENGE 7I love your love for your community and your scene. I'm glad to add a few nerd bars to a my list of places to check out! But damn did this song just keep going and at one point I was sure it would be near the end and we were just over halfway there. Surely there is a more concise way to deliver a message in homage, and I certainly found myself vibing to the song, but I didn't need a jamband appearance in the VPC this round!

5.00/10 score rank #20 of 22VOCALS 5PRODUCTION 5CHALLENGE 5I feel this was a good attempt. To do a 10-minute song is definitely a task in itself. despite the effort i have a few notes. First, the vocals could be cleaner especially when they are being chopped and screwed. I recommend using saturations to cut some of the low in. As the song progresses it become more and more difficult to understand what the song is about or the lyrics from the vocals. production is alright but wish there was more dynamics throughout since its 10 mins long. Other than "substance" references, I'm not sure this meets the challenge for this round. Thanks for participating.

9.67/10 score rank #1 of 22VOCALS 9PRODUCTION 10CHALLENGE 10MAYNE HOL’ UP. This just brought me back to my high school / college years. Killa City MO. Funny, there’s a MO city in Houston. Both the production and the vocal performance capture them Screwston vibes perfectly. The pitch shift doesn’t feel like that cheap imitation screw-like stuff you see artists try to emulate. Only thing missing is more vocal chops, but I can’t even knock anything off for that. The effort in this is appreciated. Very delightful.
