5.33/10 score rank #18 of 22VOCALS 6PRODUCTION 3CHALLENGE 7Whoa what a fun concept! Well-executed too. Docked some points because you were supposed to use 4 samples (1 from each bin). i would love to know how exactly this was put together. Ultimately all the song titles connect to form a message. Did the writer know all the songs or did they have to google some? I gotta say, this isn't really relistenable for me because of the production aspects, but still a great effort. Only One Ronin: Love the writing here. Delivery feels a bit flat. Myk Media: I know what you were trying to go for - the roughness and varied nature of a mixtape - but it doesn't sound like a cohesive song , but a hodgepodge of barely integrated samples. This ultimately took away from Ronin's writing IMO. I wish there was a kick drum to ground me in the song. Vocals could be mixed better too.

7.67/10 score rank #13 of 22VOCALS 6PRODUCTION 7CHALLENGE 10I just want to start off by saying I think this is really, really cool. The playlist I'm 100% adding to a road trip as soon as I can, this rules. I did struggle with the flow of the lyrics in the song a couple times, notably the transition from Ooh lala and Greek Tragedy; People Tell Me and For a Pessimist I'm Pretty Optimistic; and then the last four songs in the playlist.

5.00/10 score rank #21 of 22VOCALS 5PRODUCTION 5CHALLENGE 5I was entertained, lol. Vocals sort of drift off of the sample’s rhythm at parts. I get the Westside Gunn-esque rap over just the looping sample vibe, but that requires a lot of stars to align in terms of execution. This one needed more production built around the sample, and more work on the vocal processing.

7.00/10 score rank #15 of 22VOCALS 6PRODUCTION 5CHALLENGE 10I find it super dope that you use the song titles from artist and weave it together into a song. Super cool. I just wish that the production was able to support it a little more. The vocal was a little louder than the beat, so it was hard to hear what the beat truly sounded like. Easy mistake that happens. This track is honestly just a volume issue that knocked points off but good work!

6.67/10 score rank #18 of 22VOCALS 10PRODUCTION 4CHALLENGE 6Okay, scrolling down the youtube playlist provided and seeing nearly every single lyrics roll by in order as a song title gave me chills. That was cool as fuck and it still flows and rhymes. I got a little burst of excitement every time a song I love scroll past. 10 points for OnlyOneRonin! This beat has some cool moments, but it mostly sounds more exploratory than intentional. I love when producers experiment and break the rules, but you gotta make sure your production is serving the vocal in the midst of your sonic adventure. I'd love to hear more production choices that are responding to what you hear in the vocal performance and are designed to compliment it. Looks like only 3 samples made it in, but that's nothing to sniff at! Layering three samples for a beat can be a real tricky task.
