Loose Cannon
Lyrics
(Hook)
Am i the real deal?
Am i the funny guy?
Am i the baby face heartbreaker
Making you cry
Am I the Heel?
Am I the Monster?
Am i ev(e)ry man or landing at the top somewhere nah
I'm a looooose cannon
I'm a looooooose cannon
-
(V1) ~origin~
Came up out the Tennessee mud with my knuckles bloody
What up buddy
I stand on it
Nobody running
We having fun and
they think its funny
But shiiiiit they bought the ticket so we made the money
Oh yeah!
Keepin it greasy
Been a slow rise
Slow ride
take it easy
They cannot beat me
They better join me
It's a good time for everybody in my corner
Just call the coroner if you aint wit it
You're prolly dead already
You ain't gotta die to kick it
We killin the keyfab
We breaking the fourth wall
Like the Kool aid man
Get back on the porch yall
the big dawgs are playing outside
And you can run your fucking mouth but you cannot hide
We want the title, they can keep the clout
Fuck your entitlement we'll beat it out
Sloppy Demon Boys this one's for the south

(V2)
Yeah fuck it
These haters can suck it
This the dark side of the ring
Oh you didnt know its about to sting
yo' ass better call somebody like real quick
Can ya smell what the Tac is cooking?
That shits thick
We bust in arenas not giving a fuck
But we dripping in so much sauce cant help but stir the shit up
Just give the shit up
you still ain't even seen us at our best
there ain't nothing I aint said if I aint said it w my chest
-
(Bridge) ~Fall from Grace: Postlude~
Heavy are hips that wear these big ol'belts
It's cold and lonely at the top and yo this gold dont melt
Sold the gold and spent the money cuz that shit dont help
Just bought some island in the gulf to grow some shit ourselves. (×2)

production notes
Cast:
Nick Nerdsley: Smokee B
big NAUGHTY: Smokee B
Smokee B Wrasslin: Smokee B(Raps)
Taco Libre: Taco Supreme(cooked all of the sauce, mixed all of the viz, kicked all of the ass)
(00:00-00:35)
The Vocalist opens the song by voice acting a ringside dialog between the two characters "Nick Nerdsley" and "big NAUGHTY". These characters hint that the tag team wrestling group "The Sloppy Demon Boys" are up to no good with their foul, unsportsmanlike ring manner and shady shenanigans, although "big NAUGHTY" is already an established name for his negative commentary and is a well known heavy weight hater throughout the "Nerd Core World Wrestling Enterprise" as well as the Nerdcore community as a whole so his opinion is to be expected. (See TSDN vpc7r4)
~This part of the skit establishes the name of The Tag team as well as the wrestling characters and gives the audience an idea of their bad boy reputation.-~
(00:36-00:58) ~Rise to the top: Prelude~
The vocalist portrays the character "big NAUGHTY" announcing the Tag Team Champions "The Sloppy Demon Boys"'arrival to their next wrestling match with a bit of reluctance, even though he obviously cannot deny their wrestling prowess as per his own words.
~This last bit of the skit is here to inform the audience of how bad ass the "Sloppy Demon Boys" are at wrasslin'.~
(00:59-01:20)*Hook*
The Vocalist has "Smokee B Wrasslin" ask his audience to clarify what cliche wrestling archetype he belongs to and wonders if he will in fact reach the top within his field of occupation before finally settling on the fact that he's a "Loose Cannon". This has some metaphorical layers to it, in that sometimes we dont always feel like we belong somewhere or we feel the need to define ourselves by some common trope, but once we really find the suitable fit where we can be ourselves we can make the great things happen....😬
~The hook is all about questioning yourself to discover new things about you, then ultimately figuring out where you actually
land in the long and short of it and all by just listening to yourself enough to know wher that sweet spot sits. ~
-
(01:21-2:09)~origin~
The Vocalist has "Smokee B Wrasslin" explain to his audience that he came up from the Tennesee Mud with blood already on his fists. He greets his competitors with a somewhat threatening "What Up, Buddy!" and let's them know immediately that he'll stand on what he says forthright and that he has no intention of retreat. He then explains that part of his success was because his audience thought he was funny but as long as they were buying tickets he was making money to further his own successes either way.
The vocalist has "Smokee B Wrasslin" throws out the well known "Oh Yeah" phrase, often attributed to "The Macho Man Randy Savage" or "The Kool Aid™ Man". He then has the character talk about "keeping it greasy" which could both be a nod at the villainous hijinx from the tag team duo "The Sloppy Demon Boys" and also the amount of lubrication applied to wrestlers in general. He then has the character let the audience know that it has been a slow rise to the top and that his crew has just been taking it easy because his opps cant beat him, they'd be best to join him.
The Vocalist has "Smokee B Wrasslin" express that to be in his corner is a good time, and that if youre not in his corner youre better off dead. These wrestler types are pretty intense, you ain't gotta die to kick it tho, ya know?
The Vocalist has "Smokee B Wrasslin" express how he breaks the fourth wall similar to "The Kool-Aid Man™" This bit takes on the Kayfabe of the wrestling universe and allows the character to get slightly "meta" within the homophone of "Lose Canon" ....Double entAndre'(the giant) if you will. "Smokee B Wrasslin" then goes on to talk some heavy shit to his fellow wrasslers and the character is firm in that he only craves victory and isn't much for clout and also that he represents his geographical district within the United States with the utmost confidence.
{~•(VPCH1's Behind the Music: The inititial title for the track was "Lose Canon", but after multiple focus groups' responses included, "great track, but fix the spelling.", Taco Libre finally got Smokee Wrasslin to "sell out for the name" and the tag team champion duo decided it best to suffer a slight jab at their artistic integrity for the greater good of the human populace and to therefore spell the words within the song's title properly)*~}

Rise to the top pt2(holding it down
*V2*
The Vocalist has "Smokee B Wrasslin" talk mad shit about his competitors in a braggadocious bravado style while dropping a chunk of wrasslin references such as:
-Suck It (generation X)
-dark side of the ring (Evan Husney x Jason Eisener)
-Sting (WCW)
-Oh you didnt know? + Yo ass better call somebody (Road Dogg Jesse James aks James Rockabilly x Bad Ass Billy Gunn aka Mr Ass -"New Age Outlaws")
-Can you smell what the Tac is cooking?
Play on "The Rock" 's famous quip
-slight John Cena stab there near the end
At the end of his rant towards his opponents "Smokee B Wrasslin" states that his team has swagger out the ass and that their foes have yet to see the best they can do and lastly that he speaks from his heart always and has never not done so.

(02:56-03:18)fall from glory
*bridge*
The vocalist has "Smokee B Wrasslin" explain to his audience that being a part of a tag team champion duo is a heavy burden and that the top is a lonely place to be.
Money does not help in the pursuit of happiness and finding oneself. So, he and his tag team partner "Taco Libre" cashed out by selling their gold belts and using their professional earnings, as well as the money from the belt gold to purchase an Island in the gulf to grow their own food(and prolly weed) and live happily ever after. ✨️

10.00/10 score rank #1 of 24VOCALS 10PRODUCTION 10CHALLENGE 10A lot of the songs are in the metal genre which makes sense because it's wrestling. But I appreciate that you kept fairly close to your smooth, melodic Southern Demon Nerd style while infusing some of those rock/metal/industrial guitar and drum elements, AND making it feel appropriate to the context (wrestling intro theme, wresting character theme). Writing and rapping are tight as usual, bars are fire, aggression on point. Could've used a bit more character building to help me visualize the Smokee B Wrasslin' and Taco Libre tag team duo and their personalities and presence. The promo video and vocalist notes do fill in this gap (also might be one of the most on-point promos) This might be your best production yet. I am LOVING the use of 8-bit sounds. Understated and somewhat unexpected for wrestling, but somehow just perfect. Adds a sinister flavor. Little candy accents throughout like the "ding ding ding" in the outro are the cherry on top. This shit is radio ready, hell I can see it being used for real wresting promos. Am I the heel? *glass bottle breaks* damn, that rules. That hook is FIRE. Smooth like butter. "Can ya smell what the Tac is cooking? That shits thick" Damn I need some tacos now.

8.67/10 score rank #5 of 24VOCALS 8PRODUCTION 8CHALLENGE 10great mix overall! really like the hook and the rap vocals. Tastful reverb and delivery. Big improvement from last round. Good solid production and was able to allow the vocals to shine more in the track which definitely made this enjoyable. the ring intro was great and gave good energy for the theme.

8.00/10 score rank #7 of 24VOCALS 7PRODUCTION 9CHALLENGE 8I like the guitar synth vibe on this. I love transformative effects on guitar. Filter that shit lol. This is a cool vibe. I'm a huge fan of playing in the space between musical styles where everything can get all genrequeer, and I haven't really heard this type of rock vibe blended with trap beats before. I really love how you fleshed out "other genre" versions of the same groove and riff. Points for anvil snare! That is one of my absolute favorites things to make and listen to. Story is solid, performance is good. I dig the worldbuilding, but something about this performance and lyric feels like it has only some of your usual magic. Still solid! But not full-strength Smokey, imo.

9.00/10 score rank #3 of 24VOCALS 9PRODUCTION 9CHALLENGE 9Loved the dedication to the bit here. Obviously the promo doesn't affect your score, but I thought it was a strong contribution of the universe you're painting for this round's submission Appreciate the commentary that lead into the song and it flows nicely into the hook. Transitions are smooth across the board and the long "loose cannon" in the hook is an enjoyable contrast to the rest of the song that I think caps the whole track off. Another absolute banger from y'all, and I'm looking forward to more!

9.33/10 score rank #6 of 24VOCALS 9PRODUCTION 9CHALLENGE 10Whoever come out to this theme gotta be smooth with their walk out, lol. Love the slowed crowd effect. This hook is crazy. Vocalist’s swagger here is great. Breathy at parts, but overall the Vox are good. Beat is dope, maybe could use an additional element to bring out a more pronounced melodic line. Either way, banger track.
