Producer's challenge writeup
I used bray wyatt's entrance song shatter as the foundation for this song. I also really like iyo sky's entrance so I used a little inspiration from there with the 808 hits. Listen it was three days I met the challenge trust me
Lyrics
avast, and all hail the one Captain Yazz Dwayne J couldn't hold me out on rainy Alcatraz alas, instead I'm your problem now smoking weed singing shanties hanging off the port bow Sailed up and my pirates started blasting like Frank Reynolds, Charlie Kelly missing that action it's rat bashing, bag over the head smashing salt for sea slugs with every trans action I do crimes for the same reason the sun shines because it's my light and it's tantamount to divine right the same reason that dancers dance and buzzards buzz or whatever, are you a cop? stop with all the hot fuzz I am a hard fist inside a soft glove and if you fuck with me I'll hook your cup up with that foxglove what's the score? (40-Love!) Time for forty and some love you can drop and give me 20, I'm the Skipper of the sub you ever seen a specimen like me? (never!) with a pirate flag blowing in the breeze? (never!) looking hotter than Miami South Beach? (never!) looking like she's gonna punch you in the teeth? (never!) you ever bagged an elf in public? Never once in my life have I been dissed straight to my face and you will rue the day you pluckers took my cherry that way not even Peaches has a hope to fuck that pain all away y'all will be a bunch of vegans with some egg on your face you defaced me -- and your time will come this is the undercard before the main event bell is rung this is not our retort, this is a drop on your tongue before the Captain finishes what you bards have begun motherfuckers
JUDGES' BREAKDOWN
LEX the Lexicon Artist
8.00/10 score rank #12 of 24VOCALS 7PRODUCTION 7CHALLENGE 10Good bars and good production. Rapping is tight. Maybe my favorite beat from your team so far. I know you're building on the lore of kidnapping Mayor Franciel and all that. While not wrestling, it does meet the challenge of chronicling the rise and fall of a larger-than-life persona. I like that the fall of the main pirate was getting dissed in public.

8.33/10 score rank #8 of 24VOCALS 9PRODUCTION 8CHALLENGE 8I refuse to give this a perfect score but it's damn near there for me. I'll give you some digestible feedback... The vocals are seamless. These are bars, filled with potent potables and laced with poison a la foxglove. The beat is punchy, powerful, and pungent with aggression. I was really digging it, but I was looking for a little more in the transitions and drop. Y'all had the opportunity to take other VPC competitiors to the ring for a throw down and instead you dragged a loveable gaggle of bards into criminal territory and that's heel material if I've ever seen it... but the storyline for the challenge leaves a bit on the table I would have liked to see create a full scope of your wrestling persona. You're continuing to develop on every round and I don't want to see you slow down!

8.33/10 score rank #13 of 24VOCALS 8PRODUCTION 8CHALLENGE 9Definitely a heel walking out to this. This beat is nice, very gritty. I think it overpowers the vocals in a few spots, but it’s not too detrimental. Vox are witty, laughed at a few spots, energy was good as well. Would have liked the hook to roll back in one more time.

8.67/10 score rank #4 of 24VOCALS 9PRODUCTION 8CHALLENGE 9Okay this is full-strength Yazz. "Ya dope!" lmfao. Some all-time Yazz bars in this one. I love the crowd response bars with "Never!". This feels like an actual indie wrestler intro theme. Like, I could literally see this being perfect for a rec center match with the regional league. Really enjoy everything about this. This bassline nasty. Love the little marching snare vibe. Really feeds into the walk-in vibe and narrative. Carrying that leading triplet cadence into the hat and kick is great. Highlighting it in the hook was brilliant. That one cadence is a whole hook for this track. Really catchy.

8.00/10 score rank #15 of 24VOCALS 7PRODUCTION 7CHALLENGE 10What a huge comeback from the both of you. I can really hear the improvement throughout the rounds and I really enjoy this one. Vocalist was very direct in the sweet spot of the mix despite the crunchy synths that could of easily been too much in the song but luckily it was applied to taste. Love the wrestling references and energy. Most definitely gave a old school WWF villain vibe throughout the song. Great work!
