Vocalist's challenge writeup

So this is a song about joining the guild of calamitous intent from the Venture Brothers. There are multiple Easter egg references for fans and the singing part at the final chorus houses my double entendre. Enjoy!

Lyrics
So I heard you wanna hench
Got a legacy to cement
The worst or the worst are the best of the best
Welcome to the guild of calamitous intent
Here even you can find a nemesis
Steady pay and health benefits
Bold costume choice looking menacin
And super sexy you're a testament
Ain't all sunshine and daphodils
there are people you're gonna have to kill
room for growth if you have the skill
But never spill David Bowies panda milk
Start a little group or go solo
Rock some spandex or a polo
Cowboy hat with a vest and a bolo
Blinging them rings like you're frodo

Chorus:

Heroes are too perplexing
Morals are way to messy
But don't forgot the best thing
Henching is super sexy

So you wanna be an evil genius
Welcome to the most prestigious
Club only for the meanest
Here's the paperwork if you really mean it
Just a little bit of red tape
Between you and that death ray
Private jet that's super sonic
A hideaway with skulls upon it
Could be a haunted sword your brandishin
Or you can shockum with a phantom limb
Might get impaled by a lawn dart
Or find your future Dr. Mrs. The Monarch
Finally you can be your own boss
In command of killer robots
Could be you on the throne looking so hot
Got that club hench life and it don't stop

End chorus:

Feels so good to be bad I'm finding
Gott'um arched and I love how we grinding
Back and forth like it was meant to be
We're a perfect fit like a lock and key

Yay Monster Brass! Blessed be to CineBrass and blessed be to the crackers. This track has big Venture Bros vibes. The master is a bit rough on this one. The sub bass is pushing everything else out of the way. You can hear a big volume drop to the vocals and other beat elements when the sub bass comes in. I think it's hitting the compressor/limiter on your master bus too hard. We've all been there once we add all the element of our beat into a project. Sometimes, the easiest workaround is highlighting every track that's routing to the master bus and just turn everything down together until the master is getting a better sounding level or not clipping on the way in. Besides that unfortunately global issue, the beat production and arrangement sound really good!

Theramins and whistles, beat definitely has a swagger to it. The instrumentation here is good. Despite the heavy bass, the vocals sit in a clear space in the song’s overall mix. Could use a bit more compression on the Vox, as there’s some volume variance. Vocalist’s personality shines here. The energy is dope. The flow cadence is creative and dope, though I feel it might be a bit too creative at spots for a club song.

Good submissions! vocals were very clear and up front. Production was solid but I wish there was just a little more variation in the beginning of the song before the transitions in the middle. also with trasitions they have to be a little more powerful for a "club" vibe. Again good song but not quite matching the challenge.

This was fun! Not really my style of vocals or music genre, but I acknowledge that it's very well-executed and the concept is entertaining. Some really fun rhymes in here (brandishing / phantom limb; daffodil / have to kill / have the skill) I think the chorus is a little weak but catchy enough. The singing outro was an interesting choice but to me not super compelling. I am super into the low ends on the production, and they shine especially in the "DJ-friendly outro" which I really really liked.

Looooove the Venture Bros reference here, that's worth an extra mark in my book! Seriously though the song is easy to get into, the beat has me moving, the lyrics are hard and fast, and the Chorus is catchy and encourages the listener to sing along. One of my favorites this round!
