Vocalist's challenge writeup

This is my love letter to CLUB CUPC@K3, the unofficial name of my bakery gworls when we slammed early 2000s bangers AND SHOOK ASS at work. A customer complaint shut us down for profanity, and we were banished from throwing that ass in a circle. All the names are in reference to my real homies MC names (reference to July of last year). The intro is filled with bits we would do and characters I would become to make the time go by faster. The Bridge dance portion is done by my alter ego Sta-C, who was a regular at CLUB CUPC@K3. For my GWORLS, AWA AWA, Peach MONEY were regular things we shouted and chanted, though it would have been impossible to fit every other reference. We came, we made cake, we threw that cake down. Producer's challenge writeup

I wanted to sit in my comfort lane this round because this challenge was basically my default checklist for how I make electronic music, but once Pinky told me about CLUB CUPC@K3 I knew we had to take this into new territory and combine both of our ideas to throw maximum ass at the rave. I hit I think 10? of the challenge examples, and added a few of my own, ensuring that through all the complexity that every part of the song is DJ friendly.

    Its always great to hear variations of club and D&B within a song! great work. Loved the singing vocals in the beginning that gave it a different feel. Only thing I would comment is that sound of the vocal mix and the talking pieces can be just a little hard to hear at some parts but very minimal. awesome song overall!

    I LOVE THIS TRACK and the story behind it. Bakery Gworls? Getting shut down for profanity? This is cinema. Pinky found the perfect middle ground between singing and rapping vocals. It’s PEAK!!!! Bigoldavedude SMASHED IT with the production, clean asf with well-placed drops, buildups, dance breaks, and other arrangement choices. 1:45 holy shit this beat switch up and key change sends the track to another level. Or should I say down another level because it gets dark and dirty. It amps up the hype. 2:16 The vocal chants + synth plucks, harmonies in the background + super cunty foreground sing-rapping is HEAVEN FOR MY EARS. EDIT: I keep coming back to this one and it's the one consistently stuck in my head at work. I have to bump this up to a FULL SCORE because it's my favorite track.

    The club loves pitchy 808s and good hi-hat play. This beat is cool. Good work on the risers and buildups to drops. The first drop could use more volume on that downshift boom to accentuate it a bit more. Vocal performance is good, love the harmonic chants in the background. Could use a a tad more high end EQ so the Vox aren’t fighting for presence against those 808s.

    VPC's official ass shaking anthem is here, and this song invites everyone come party at the bakery! The breakdown towards the end before the tempo shift was a nice drop, and the hook is very easy to remember, so the audience can easily do both important things together, throwing it in a circle and singing along while they do it!

    This track goes hella hard. A true club anthem. Everything about this warms my heart and delights both my ears and my booty. I love the lively synth work on this and the quick turn moments. This would honestly go hard in about any club. My CLUB CUPC@K3's memory always be a blessing <3
